Paul Kneipp is a musician, producer and songwriter. He is one of Australia’s best known drummers, with a long and impressive history of performances in many styles and formats.

As a producer he has worked with some of Australia’s finest vocalists and musicians. As a songwriter, Paul has negotiated two major label record contracts on the strength of his compositions. He toured Germany with the Robertson Brothers and music legends America in support of his four song contribution to their album Symmetry, which was produced by Barry Beckett and featured famed Nashville guitarist and producer Dan Huff.

Initially self taught as a musician, Paul later studied jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, with Don Burrows and Bill Motzing. He also holds an Advanced Diploma of Music.

Paul has toured in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Germany. Theatre and television credits include Countdown (4 appearances); Late Night With Jonno and Danno; Have A Go and the Sydney Schools Spectacular. Musicals include Barnum with Reg Livermore, Chess, Blood Brothers starring Russel Crowe and Are You Lonesome Tonight with Martin Shaw.

Leon Berger; Jeff St John; Sharon O’Neil; Marcia Hines; Tim Finn; Robertson Brothers, Seals & Crofts; Rick Price; Marc Hunter; Ricky May; Renee Geyer, Dave Dobbyn, Errol Buddle and Steve McKenna.

Paul plays drums regularly in The Kites – one of the toughest drum chairs in Sydney. The Kites specialise in playing classics from Steely Dan.

Paul writes, records, produces and mixes from his studio in Sydney. His latest project is Rock Farm Road.
